She left an illegit. baby, Lucy Tripe, who was a poor ch. in the family of Richard Evans, bp. 20 June 1742. [ref 22]

SYLVANUS 2 TRIPE, died before 1 Jan 1741/2 when his mother called him deceased in her will, son of Silvanus and Margaret (Diamond) Tripe of Kittery (MPA 5/185; MW, 435; Stackpole, 781). In Samuel's probate papers he is called a blockmaker. [ref 74:67]

At the time of his* death, they were living in Portsmouth NH. Child with first husband, surname BRIARD: Elizabeth. Children with second husband, named in their grandmother Margaret Tripe's will and in their grandfather Peter Lewis' will (MW, 436, 409), surname TRIPE: William, Samuel, Abigail, Anna, Lucy.
