Christopher Bartlett, born in Newbury, Mass., 26 Feb. 1678, died in Haverhill, 28 June 1747, in sixty-ninth year, son of Christopher and Deborah (Weed) Bartlett, married Haverhill, 11 Feb. 1717-18, Mary Clements. She was his second wife, he having married first, at Haverhill, 9 Sept. 1703, Susannah Griffin who died in Haverhill between 1714-1718. After Mary Clements's death, Christopher Bartlett married thirdly, in Bradford, Mass., 24 [ref 88:111] Mar. 1735-6, Rachel Hazeltine, who died in Bradford, 25 Sept. 1774, in her eighty-third year. Christopher Bartlett lived in Haverhill until after the death of his second wife, Mary Clements. He may always have lived there but it is probable that he removed to New Hampshire, as his Will is in the Province Probate and he calls himself of Haverhill District, in New Hampshire. The Will was made after the straightening of the line between Massachusetts and New Hampshire so it is possible that the farm on which he lived fell in the latter State.
