Thomas PUTNAM and Ann HOLYOKE [ref 20] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Prudence, born Feb. 28, 1661-2, daughter of Thomas PUTNAM and Ann HOLYOAKE; married William Wyman of Woburn. [ref 27:2-109] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mrs. Prudence (Putnam) Wyman married for a second husband Captain Peter Tufts of Charlestown. The articles of covenant to marry with him were dated 11 June, 1717. Peter Tufts was son of Peter and Mary (Pierce) Tufts of Charlestown and was born about 1648. He died 20 Sept., 1721, aged 73. His brother, John Tufts, had married Mary daughter of John Putnam, jr. Capt. Peter Tufts had been married twice previous to his marriage with Prudence Wyman: first, to Elizabeth Lynde; second, to Mercy Cotton.
