C. 1653, freem. 1656, went to England. next yr. and spent four yrs. as his mo. tells, mak. verses on each event; there prob. stud. for a profession; was a physician, rep. for Andover 1670, m. 1662, Mercy, youngest d. of capt. William Tyng, wh. d. 6 Sept. 1670, had Elizabeth; Ann; Mercy; Simon; and Ann. By sec. w. tak. in Jamaica, he had John,; Simon, again; and Ann, again; and d. prob. at Jamaica, in Aug. 1682 [ref 20]

Samuel, graduated Harvard College, 1653; physician; m. Mercy Tyng, dau. of William Tyng; d. in Jamaica, W.I., 1682. [ref 18:1-182]

Samuel, son of Governor Simon and Anne (Dudley) Bradstreet, died in August 1682. He graduated in 1653 from Harvard. He was a physician in Boston. From 1657 to 1661 he was in England. He removed to the island of Jamaica, and there died. He married (first) Mercy, daughter of William Tyng, (second) Martha ___. By his first wife he had five children, the three children of his second wife were living with their grandfather Governor Bradstreet at the time of the latter's death. Among these children were: Elizabeth, Annice, Mercy. [ref 29:78]

On 15 January 1666/7 the heirs of William Tyng sold to Deacon Samuel Bass, Edmund Quinsey, Gregory Belcher, William Savell and Joseph Crosby, all of Braintree, for �1900 "all that farm in Braintree aforesaid, which did belong unto the said Capt: William Tyng, in the time of his life called or known by the name of Salter's Farm, in which the said Gregory Belcher doth now inhabit and dwell, with all the houses, barns, stables, outhouses, yards, gardens, orchards, with all the upland, arable land, woodland, meadows, plains and swamp" [ref 26]
