He married in Weston, April 24, 1712, Martha Beale, perhaps his cousin and a daughter of William Beale. She died February 4, 1717-8. He married, second, Mary Phillips, born in Watertown. November 15, 1685, daughter of Theophilus and Mary (Bennett) Phillips. One child by first and one by second marriage. Joseph Lovewell. Jr., was appointed guardian of the daughter, Thankful. Children 1714-21: Thankful, Mary.
