March 8, 1644-5*; m. March 15, 1667-8[S], JANE2 BRADBURY. He took oath free. 1675; was member S. chh. 1677; bought S. common right of Francis Dove in 1677; signed petition of 1680; rep. 1689; elected deacon S. chh. July 25, 1700; liv. 1723. Henry True, either father or son, was at one time town clerk of Salis. On the Supreme Court Files, Boston, is a certificate signed by him. bearing date Sep., 1640; but it was copied from "an old book in my hands," the "records of Colchester, commonly called Salisbury;" hence the copy was made after 1640, perhaps many years later. It seems probable that the son, Capt. Henry,2 was the one who signed the document, as he was clerk just before 1700.
