Joshua Boynton served under Major Appleton in the Narragansett campaign in 1675, and under Captain Brocklebank in 1676. Hannah, his wife, died 12 January, 1722/3, and he married, secondly, 29 November, 1725, Mary Daniels, widow of Richard Syle of Rowley. She died 28 July, 1727, and he married, for the third time, 30 October, 1727, Mary, the widow of John Boynton. His will was proved 12 November, 1736. [ref 39:54]

Joshua2 Boynton (William1) cousin of John, born in Rowley 10 Mar., 1646. Will proved 12 Nov., 1736. He m. (1) 9 Apr., 1678, Hannah Barnet*; d. 12 Jan., 1722.; m. (2) 9 Nov., 1725, Mrs. Mary (Syle) Daniels Greenough; d. 28 July, 1727. Joshua2 was a carpenter. He served under Maj. Appleton in the war of 1675/6; took the oath of allegiance in Newbury in 1678; was on the tax list of 1688. He had a farm of one hundred acres in Newbury where he lived fifty years. HANNAH, born probably in this order [aft Robert], died 12 Jan., 1722/3, Newbury, Mass. [ref 39:36] HANNAH BURNAP, whose birth does not appear, is called "Barnet" by Savage and "Burnet" in other places. She married, 9 April, 1678, at Newbury, Joshua, born 10 March, or August, 1646, son of William and Elizabeth (Jackson) Boynton of Rowley. [ref 39:54]
