Grace was rec. into our ch. from that, freem. 2 June 1641, perhaps had other ch. bef.; and by w. Persis, wid. of William Bridge, d. of Thomas Pierce, had John, Elizabeth, Bethia, Ebenezer, Abraham, Isaac, Ann. [ref 20] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - JOHN1 HARRISON, of Salisbury and Boston, "cordishmaker" or "rope-maker," b. ab. 1607; recd. land in the "first division" and in 1640; but was living in Boston after 1643; sold rights in S. to (1) RALPH1 BLAISDELL. He m. 1st, Grace --; 2d, Persis Bridge, who d. March 7, 1682-3. He acted as "attorney" for JOHN HODGES after the return of the latter to England.; d. Dec. 11, 1684. Children by 2nd wife: John, Elizabeth, William, Abraham, Anna, Bethia. [ref 36:195] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - HARRISON, John, rope-maker, cordish maker, Salisbury, propr. 1639, frm. One of the attorneys of John Hodges, citizen and cooper of London in 1647. He m. 2, Persis, widow of Wm. Bridges, who was adm. chh. as his wife 9 (2) 1654; she d. March 7, 1682-3. He d. William Bridge, and next, John Harrison [ref 20] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - born in England, probably about 1625, and came to Charlestown in 1634 with her family. "Peircis Bridges" was admitted to Charlestown church 30 November 1643. After William Bridges's death, and no later than 6 May 1653, she had married, as his second wife, John Harrison of Boston, ropemaker, by whom she had ten more children [ref 26] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Persis, married William Bridges; had Mary.
