He m. 29 Dec. 1726 Elizabeth Meserve (Daniel). Sailor and fisherman, except two or three yrs. 1731-1733 attempting a farm in Rochester. Both last ment. Nov. 1739. Two ch. bp. [ref 22] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Joseph, m. 29 Dec. 1726, Elizabeth Meserve, of Dover. About 1731 he settled on a farm in Rochester, but after two or three years returned to Portsmouth, where the chief part of his life was spent as a sailor and fisherman.
