| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nathaniel, m. in East Kingston 7 Aug. 1740 Deborah Ladd. In 1742 was a 'potter' of Portsm., in 1743 bot in Exeter. Adm. Jan, 1752 to Josiah Thing; inv. shows a stock of pottery and general mdsc. He wrote an elegant hand. If this Nathaniel was childless, he could have been s. of James and his bro. John could have been fa. of Nathaniel, ancestor of the So. Car. Libbys, who night have learned the mastmaker's trade from his uncle John Marden. In 1761 Nathaniel of Portsm., mariner, was sued. [ref 22] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nathaniel (probably), m. Deborah ___, apparently a relative of John Beard and Josiah Ladd, of Exeter. In 1742 or 3 he removed from Portsmouth to Exeter, where he followed his calling of potter, and also kept a store in which he kept his wares for sale, and also a small quantity of Staples merchandise.
