| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ISAAC LIBBY, born in Portsmouth, N. H., 3 Dec. 1707; married, 22 Dec. 1730, SARAH WALDRON, dau. of Col. John, and Mary (Ham) Waldron of Dover. After his marriage he lived in Dover. He was a saddler by trade, and built himself a house, barn, and workshop in Dover, which he sold to Joseph Hanson, jr., after his removal to Rochester in 1745 or 6. He settled on a farm in Rochester which he occupied until his death. Beside his trade and farming, he engaged in retailing West India goods and liquor. His old account books are still preserved. He took an important part in the management of the town, and was selectman and town clerk many years. He died 5 Feb. 1776. Children 1732-49: Anna, Isaac, Paul, Isaac, Mary, Sarah, Betsey, Mary.
