| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mary, m. William Dyer. [ref 22] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MARY m. Wm. Dyer 1 July 1708. Ch., John Elizabeth and Joseph bapt. 7 April 1716-7. This family settled in Biddeford, Me. [ref 33:312] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MARY 4 CHADBOURNE (Humphrey 3-2 William 1), born probably Berwick 1680; died Berwick before 9 Apr 1765 when son Thomas was granted administration of her estate (MPA 11/300, 313); married Kittery 1 July 1708 (KVR, 36) WILLIAM 3 DYER. On 7 Apr 1717 they owned the covenant of the First Church in Berwick and were baptized with children William, John, and Elizabeth (NEHGR 82:78). They resided in Biddeford by July 1717 when William was elected as "attorney or agent of the town" and granted 40 acres of land in 1730 (Folsom, History of Saco and Biddeford, 204, 206). Widow Mary was recipient of all of her brother Humphrey's personal property and his house in Berwick through his will, dated 28 June 1762; where she lived after her husband's death, but she died just two years after her brother (MPA 11/94, 111, 216, 288). On 30 July 1765 her estate was divided between the heirs of the eldest son William Dyer and second son Joseph Dyer, son Thomas Dyer, and her daughters Mary Manning and Sarah Emery (MPA 11/330). Her four surviving children and Joseph's heirs all received shares in the homestead that had been their uncle Humprhey's (MPA 11/330).
