He lived in Middleton where he d. in 1749, his son Stephen being appointed administrator of his estate Oct. 16, 1749. His grandfather's bronze mortar was in his possession. 1715 in father's will, "To son John, the thirty acres of land he now lives on, excepting the privilege of water for the mill and six acres of meadow." They lived in Salem in 1729 when they signed a deed (YD 13:82), and moved to Middletown MA after 1730. John was a yeoman. He had four children by his first wife and five by Margaret (Salem VR).
