By 1669 he had built at Bellamy's Bank, where the fam. contin. a century. His house stood in or close by the Catholic cemetery below the City Hall. Innholder 1689, Gr.j. 1694. Will 19, d. 27 Feb. 1696-7. He m. 1st Elizabeth Colcord; in 1675 she had d. and ch. been committed to their grmo. in Hampton; 2d Ann (Thompson), wid. of Israel Hodsdon, who long surv. him, kept tavern in his house and left ch. by both hus. Adm. 30 May 1727 to Israel Hodsdon. Ch: Robert, Edward, Jonathan, Elizabeth. In 1728 sister Sarah Lewis deeded a ninth of Jonathan's gr. By 2d w.: Mary, Sarah, Benjamin, Hannah, Patience. [ref 22] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ROBERT, Dover 1665, had Robert, Edward, Jonathan, and Elizabeth; all by w. Elizabeth was k. 28 June 1689, or (as ano. acco. is) d. of cancer, 27 Feb. 1697. [ref 20] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The widow of Isreal Hodsdon m. (2) about 1675-6, Robert Evans of Dover, N. H. He had had former wife, Elizabeth, dau. of Edward and Ann Colcord of Hampton, N. H. Robert Evans d. in Dover, Feb. 27, 1697, and his widow Ann was bapt. in the first church in Dover, Oct. 30, 1720, and admitted a member of the church the following month. She d. about 1727, and administration on her estate was granted to her eldest son, Israel Hodsdon, May 30, 1727; in one of the papers in the case he mentions her as his mother. The children of Robert and Ann (Thompson-Hodsdon) Evans, b. in Dover, were: Mary, Joseph, Sarah, Benjamin, Hannah, Patience.
