William was of Falmouth, his wid. Mary app. adm. 29 June 1748, and left a s. Samuel to whom his gr.mo. deeded in 1762. Wm. also had sons John Fletcher and Samuel, mariner of Newbury to whom his mo. deeded in 1756 and whose wid., Mary, of Newbury, adm. his estate in 1761 and deeded to his nephew Samuel (son of William jr.) in 1762. William Nason married Mary Hodgkins, perhaps dau. of Jedediah and Sarah (Millett) Hodgkins. They were published in old Falmouth, Me., 16 Nov. 1744. At a Court of Probate held at Portsmouth, N. H., before Judge Andrew Wiggin, 29 June 1748, administration of the estate of William Nason, late of Falmouth, deceased, was granted unto his widow Mary Nason. See N. H. Wills, Vol. XI. 249. June 28, 1762, Benj. Mackey was chosen guardian of Samuel Nason, a minor, upwards of fourteen years of age, son of William Nason late of Portsmouth, deceased intestate. In an old Bible this Samuel Nason wrote, "My dear and Hon Mother departed this life Apr. 15 1763 about 8 o'clock in the morning in the 35 year of her Eag having layn sick of the consumption. She died in full assurance of going to a life Eternal and finished her race like a truly exemplary Christian." Only known child 1745: Samuel. [ref 33:631]
