Michael Griswold died 20 April, 1731 -- Invt. 919-06-04, taken 11 May, 1731, by Michael Griswold, Nathaniel Burnham and Jacob Griswold. Will dated 2 Apl., 1731. I give to my son Benjamin Griswold by Homested with buildings gs, reserving the use of one-half to my wife during her natural life and the Blacksmith Shop and tools thereof with the ground, sd. shop covers reserved for my son Michael Griswold so long as he shall uphold and work in sd. shop and no longer. My brother Samuel Griswold and Father Thomas Griswold, my dau. Prudence Griswold I give to my son William 1/2 my lot at Newington, and the other half to my son Michael Griswold. I give to my son Phineas Griswold 1 1/2 acres of land I bought of my brother Samuel which was part of my father's home-lot, who is to have 1/3 of the use during life with house & barn, at the decease of my father to be divided between my son Phineas & son Ensign Michael Griswold.
