WILLIAM PEPPERELL LIBBY, born in Lebanon, Me., 12 Dec. 1803; married, 30 March 1826, SARAH DROWN, daughter of Dea. Henry and Isabella (Morrison) Drown of Rochester, N. H. He removed to Chesterville in 1829, and thence to Bond Co., Ill., in 1837. While in Maine he was for the most part a country merchant, but in Illinois he was a farmer until his death, in Elm Point, 4 March 1864. His widow died 13 April following. They were both members of the Presbyterian Church. Children 1826-44: Amanda, Malvina, William, Sarah, Henry, Ivory, Samuel, John, Edward. [ref 25:245]
