Ensign Richard, seaman, shipwright, Kit., b. �1653, �42 in 1695-6. accus of abusing Richard Miller, Ct. Apr. 1673, he forf. his bond, and was sued by Mr. Weare therefor; in 1677 he sued Mr. John Cutt for wages on his last voyage on "The Return". With Gabrigan Bonython when he was drowned. Richard King married Mary, dau. of George Lydston. York Deeds IV. 138. He was a shipwright, as was also his father. Was selectman in 1711 and 1712. He died about 1723. His widow married, 23 Dec. 1734, Samuel Johnson. Children: Sarah, Susannah, Richard, Daniel, Mary, George, Joanna, Patience. [ref 33:570]

Richard King (Richard), died about 1724; wife Mary, dau. of George Lydston of Kittery; was a shipwright of Kittery in 1695; administered on the estate of his father-in-law Lydston. In 1723-4, his widow Mary and son Richard administered on his estate. In 1752 he was called "Richard King, late of Kittery, Gentn, deceased," by his son Richard. Land grant of 90 acres in 1663.
