Long dead in 1719 when adm. gr. to Edw. Beale at son's req. Wid. Hannah, poss. m. 2d 25 June 1695 Nicholas Smith of York and admin. 10 Aug. 1697, Matthew Austin bondsm.; cert. m. (2d or 3d) Joseph Smith of York. His wid. 4 Dec. 1713, she deeded her 1st husband's 30 a. to Andrew Toothaker, who gave back a mtg. Ch: William, Sarah. [ref 22] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TIMOTHY Hodsdon2, b. in Boston, Mass., or Kittery, Me., about 1652; m. Hannah. Nicholas Hodsdon sold his son Timothy land in Kittery, adjoining that of John Morrell, in 1679; this lot Timothy sold to his brother Benoni, Apr. 3, 1682, and settled in York, Me., where he d. about 1719, and his widow m. [ref 33:530] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Timothy was son of Nicholas and Elizabeth Hodsdon of Kittery and first appears in York in 1685, when he was granted thirty acres on the northwest side of the Sayward timber grant "provided he do Settle & Live In the Town." This he did. He died before 1713 and the property descended to his heirs. He married Hannah ___, and after his death she married Joseph Smith of this town.
