His will was dated 15 July, 1747, and it was admitted to probate 9 June, 1755. He married (1) 20 July, 1710, Mary Carr, daughter of James and Mary (Sears) Carr of Newbury and Salisbury, Mass., who was born 15 Dec. 1678, in Newbury, and died 27 June, 1744, in Salisbury. He married (2) in Salisbury, Mary Hardy of Kensington, N.H., who died 4 Nov. 1747, in Salisbury. He was a farmer and lived in Salisbury. Children 1711-23: Daniel, Stephen, Aaron, Elizabeth, Aaron, Joshua, Ezra.
