Files XLII:119). [ref 63:322] Joseph Knowlton Senr of Ipswich Co. Essex, for six pounds & ten shillings paid by Abraham Foster Junr of ye sd town, with ye consent of his wife, sell land in Ipswich four acres & halfe. Dated 9 June 1703. Joseph Knowlton Junr Mary Knowlton her mark. Witnesses Caleb Foster, Isaac Foster Junr, Abraham How (Essex Deed XV: 184). Acknowledged by both Joseph and Mary Knowlton 11 June 1703 at Ipswich.
