Mary hav. d. 14 Oct. preced. The formality of owning the covenant was suffic. But on 12 July 1696 he and his w. Catharine more solemnly join. the ch. he then aged a. 50 was bapt. and their other ch. George, aged 13; Daniel, 6; Catharine, 4; and Lydia, 1. [ref 20] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - George, born May 1643 in Salem; shipwright; lived in Falmouth until driven away by the Indians in 1689; settled in Boston; married Catherine Nicholson of Scarboro about 1674; died in Boston Aug. 21 1721; had children. [ref 27:1-131] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - George, Falmouth, b. May 1643; son of George Ingersoll and Elizabeth; m. Catherine Nichols (Robert of Scarb.) c. 1674, d. in Boston 10 Aug. 1721, ag. 78 yrs. 3 mos. (Copp's Hill). They fled to Salem in 1675 and in 1689 to Boston, where he was a shipwright, he and his w. being bpt. when they joined the Charlestown ch. in 1696. The Eastern Claims describe his Falm. lands as 100 a. near the old fort adj. John Skillings, a house-lot in town near the old fort and a cornmill at Barberry creek 1 1/2 miles from the fort.
