Willard Gordon (Alexander3, Daniel2, Alexander1), born Salem, New Hampshire 2 Aug 1766, d. at Grand Isle, Vt. 14 Aug 1846 ae 80y. Bur. at Grand Isle Cemetery. Married Clarissa Armstrong, b. at Bennington, Vt. 5 Mar 1776, d. at Grand Isle 18 Feb 1860 ae 83y 11m 18d, dau. of Lebbeus and Rebecca (Hyde) Armstrong. Willard and Clarissa Gordon were married by brother Alexander Gordon, a Justice of the Peace. Willard Gordon settled at Grand Isle about 1788. He located in the SE part of the town. He was a farmer owning considerable property. He served in various town offices, as Selectman 1812-15 and 1826, as Constable 1805-9 and 1819-22.
