Alexander Gordon (Daniel4, Alexander3, Daniel2, Alexander1), born Salem, New Hampshire 14 Jan 1786, d. Windham, N.H. 28 Sep 1853. Married 17 Sep 1807 Mary Wilson b. Chester, N.H. 25 Oct 1788, d. Windham 15 Aug 1853. M. by Rev. E. Colby. Dwelt upon his father's farm at Windham near RR crossing just over the Salem line, where he was J.P. and Selectman 10 years. Tribute to his memory in "Zion's Herald" 19 Oct 1853: "This Alexander gordon was an eminent layman in the New Hampshire (Methodist) Conference - its treasurer if I mistake not." Children 1808-28: Jane, William, Daniel, Jackson, Phebe, Melitta, Susan, Mary, Alexander, Hannah. [ref 80:91]
