Sarah, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Johnson) Peaslee, born in Newbury September 20, 1642, married Thomas Barnard of Salisbury, one of the early settlers of that town, who crossed the river Powow to the western division. They had seven children - Sarah, Joseph, Thomas, Hannah, Samuel, Nathaniel, and Tristram. Thomas and Sarah, in the "Queen's Province," gave a parcel of land to the widow, who afterwards married Thomas Hoyt. [ref 91:18]
