Hampton MM Whereas Ebenezer Peaslee son of John Peaslee of Almsbury in the County of Essex in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England And Mary his wife And Lydia Weed daughter of George Weed of Almsbury in the County and province aforsaid deceased And Margory his wife having published their publishing of marrage among us the people called Quakers of Hampton and Almsbury they appearing -?- and having consent of parents appeared in a public assembly Twenty Third Day of the sixth month called August 1744. And Ebenezer Peaslee openly declared That he took Lydia Weed to be his wife promising through the Lord's assistance to be unto her a kind and loving husband untill death shall separate us. Also Lydia Weed Publickly declared that she took Ebenezer Peaslee to be her Husband Promising through the Lord's assistance to be unto him a true and faithfull wife untill death shall separate us. And the said Ebenezer Peaslee and Lydia Weed as a further confirmation Did to a marrage covenant sett their hands; And wee whose names are hereunto subscribed being present at their solomnizeing of said marrage do hereunto set our hands as witnesses this day and year above written Sarah Namory?
