[ref 51] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Jan 1765-67 committee to finish building meetinghouse; 1774-1802 many times moderator; often representative to the Legislature from Dunbarton; 5 May 1777 member of safety committee; Judge of Common Pleas; 1796 Judge of Hillsborough county; 1778 delegate to State Convention at Concord to form a Constitution; selectman of Dunbarton, J.P.; surveyor, laid out most of the early roads Honorable Jeremiah Page was a "well educated man of business. He was an expert surveyor and laid out most of the early town roads and many other roads". He was an astronomer and in 1804 he calculated the total eclipse of the sun which occurred in 1806.
