Alexander, b. Aug. 1751; son of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Ferguson) Goold, married 27 July 1777, Margaret, dau. of Daniel Emery, (2) 9 Nov. 1806, Betsey, dau. of Joseph Shorey. She died about 1866, aged 99 years, 8 mos. He died at Goold's Corner 19 April 1844, aged 92 years, 8 mos. Was a soldier and marine in the Revolution. Children by first marriage abt 1778-96: Alexander, Daniel, Benjamin, Elizabeth, John, Sarah Jonathan, Nathaniel; by second marriage abt 1807-12: Charity, Ivory, James. [ref 33:465]
