He was called Sen., 1683 till the death of his son, John,3 ab. 1698. A John, either father or son, was imprisoned by Canfield, Feb., 1683, Gove rebellion. Mary, daughter of Dr. Renald and Joanna Fernald; m. Dec. 11, 1660, John Partridge of Portsmouth, successively sailor, cordwainer, innkeeper, vinter. In 1692 they were living in the Great House and in 1696 the ferry right between the island his house stood on and Portsmouth and Great Island was granted to him. Mary Partridge d. Aug. 16, 1722, and John between Aug. 28 and Sept. 5, 1722, the dates of making and proving his will. Children: Hannah, John, Mary, Sarah, Rachel, Elizabeth, Abigail, Patience, Joanna, Ruth.
