JOSEPH, Hampton, b. 1615[sic], son of Thomas* Chase and Elizabeth Philbrick of Hampton; m. 31 Jan. 1672, Rachel, d. of William Partridge of Salisbury, had Hannah, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Ann, Elizabeth again, and Rachel. He was tak. by the Ind. at Dover, in their assault upon Waldron's ho. 27 June 1689. [ref 20]
