Mary, says our town rec. had John; our chl. rec. show. that he was mem. of the ch. of E. and thither he soon went back, had there Mary, and perhaps more there or at Hampton, where he was in 1654, m. sec. w. 1 Jan. 1656, Ann, wid. of William Partridge of Salisbury, and took the o. of alleg. 1678. In his MS. Farmer says he was freem. 1644, wh. does not mean of Mass. but of E. where he was town clk. 1647, and rep. of H. in 1654. [ref 20] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ANTHONY1 STANYAN [or STANIAN], "glover," b. ab. 1611, came in the "Planter" in 1635; lived in or near Boston in 1642; settled in Hampton Falls; taxed for Mr. Hall's farm in Salis. He m. 1st, Mary (___); 2d, Jan. 1, 1655-6[S Sm], Ann (___) [wid. of WM.1 PARTRIDGE of S.] She d. July 10, 1689. Child: John. [ref 36: 322] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Anthony Stanyon, glover, planter, ae. 24, came in the Planter April 6, 1635. Took freeman's oath at Piscataqua court 17 (2) 1644. Settled at Boston. Removed to Exeter. Resident in 1745; rem. to Hampton; selectman; one of the commissioners for minor trials in 1651. Bought one third of a mill 27 Nov. 1654. He deposed 13 April, 1675, ae. about 68 years. First wife Mary; child John. He m. Jan. 1, 1655, Anne widow of William Partridge of Salisbury, Mass. He secured to her children John, Hannah, and Elizabeth P. 11 June, 1659, the payment of a legacy left them by their grandfather, John Partridge, of Olney Bucks, England.
