| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Philip, son of Andrew Greeley, was born at Salisbury, Massachusetts, September 21, 1644, and died there, March 17, 1717-18. He took the oath of allegiance, and fidelity before Captain Bradbury, December 5, 1677, and in 1690 was admitted a freeman. He bought and sold much land in Salisbury, and also owned portions of small vessels built there. In a dividion of land on May 18, 1681, he received Lot No. 37, containing twelve acres. In 1682, 1683 and 1684 he was surveyor of highways. His will was dated March 14, 1717-18. He and his wife were buried in the old cemetery at East Salisbury, near the road leading to the beach, where their gravestone may still be seen. He married at Salisbury, February 17, 1670, Sarah Isley, who was born there June 30, 1664*, and died there July 19, 1710. She was the daughter of John and Sarah Isley.
