[ref 20] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - GEORGE GOLDWYER [or GOLDWIRE), of Salisbury, "planter" or "yeoman," commoner and taxed 1650 and '52, recd. land 1654, etc. He m. 1674-5, MARTHA2 MOYCE (Joseph1). He was of Haverhill in 1648, when he bought house and land in S. of Sam. Dudley. It is said that he was of Dover in 1658, but he was of S. in 1657 and '64. He d. April 12, 1684[S]. Wid. Martha m. Oct. 30, 1684[S], Maj. ROBERT2 PIKE (John1). No children. Martha, dau. of the wife of Joseph Moyse; she survived him and m. 2, Maj. Robert Pike; in deeds he refers to his father-in-law Joseph Moys, sister Martha[sic] Greeley, and cousin Ephraim Winsley, Jr. He d. April 12, 1684.
