| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - son of Stephen GULLISON and Mary LARKIN children 1790-1808: Mary, Hannah, Hepsibeth, Abigail, Stephen, Sarah, Thankful, James, Samuel, John - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thursday, November ye 27, 1788: This Day (after Publishing) Mr Samuel Gallishan and Miss Thankful Pitman, both of Yarmouth were Married, by me, Jonathan Scott. I published Mr Gallishan and Miss Thankful above, vocally: They stood three Sabbaths, the first and last of which I notified their Intention of Marriage; but the second Sabbath I forgot to publish them. When ye three Sabbaths were out, they sent word for me to marry them, and I consented, for ye Guests were invited and ye Time Set, and I was afraid it would be an Occasion of Disaffection and Confusion if I should refuse; which Consideration influenced me to marry them rather than deny; laying my Account to bear the Consequences of my so doing.
