On January, 1706/7, "Joseph Washburn of ye Town of Bridgewater . . . out of a tender Love and fatherly affection towards my natural son Jonathan Washburn of ye Same Town . . . Make over and Confirm unto the sd Jonathan Washburn . . . a certain Tract or Parcell of Land . . . in the township of Bridgewater on the Easterly Side of Setucket River butting upon sd River and bounded on the Northerly Side by Whitmans Land and Running for breadth Southerly till it meets with Matfield River & so running Easterly upon a Strait Line to a white oak stump which was an Ancient Bounds between Father Lathams Lot & Deacon Willis's Lot & from thence upon a Strait Line up to ye head of the Lots . . . memorandm there is above omitted a Reserve which is The Use of all the Land between ye ash Swamp & the River during my Life time" The deed was signed by a mark. The witnesses were Ebenezer Leach and Benjamin Leach. It was acknowledged, by the grantor, on 24 January, 1706/7, before Elihu Brett, Justice of the Peace and was recorded 12 February, 1713, by Josiah Cotton, Register.

On 3 August, 1714, "Joseph Washburn Senr of ye Town of Bridgewater . . . for ye Love Good will & fatherly affection which I bear towards my Son Joseph Washborn of ye Same Town . . . make over & Confirm unto & upon ye sd Joseph Washburn jur . . . my whole Right . . . in a Certain Tract of Land Lying with ye ye[sic] Township of Bridgwater Comonly known by ye name of Titicut Purchase being ye whole of two full Purchase right Throughout ye one of Them being my own proper purchase Right & ye other my Father In Law Robert Lathaums Decd only I have alredy Disposed of ye Great Lott which was my own originally which I Do Therefore hereby Except & Reserve herein" The deed was signed by a mark. The witnesses were Edward Fobes and Thomas Hayward. It was acknowledged by Joseph Washburn, on the day of its date, before Josiah Edson, Justice of the Peace, and was recorded 9 November, 1714, by William Little, Register. On 17 April, 1717, Joseph Washburn, blacksmith, of Bridgewater, sold his home in that place (to Isaac Lazell), his wife Hannah releasing her dower rights. (Plym. co deed 12:153) [ref 93:21-40]

On June, 1720, Joseph Washbury, blacksmith, of Plympton, formerly of Bridgewater, confirmed the deed of 17 April 1717, wife Hannah again releasing her dower rights. Both Joseph and Hannah acknowledged the deed, on 1 July, 1725 (Plym. Co deeds 19:98). [ref 93:21-41]

On 12 August 1721, Joseph Washburn, blacksmith, of Plympton, wife Hannah releasing eower rights, conveyed land to son Jonathan Washburn of Bridgewater (Plym. co Deed 15:204). [ref 93:21-41]
