| - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - George J., b. 4, 30, 1858, m. 11, 29, 1881, Lucy Lee whose birth took place January 7, 1864. When twenty-three years of age, George J. entered the mercantile business in Weston under the firm name of Oswald & Dewese, they being the successors of A. J. Munn. Two years later he sold out his interest, and went to farming, which he carried on until June, 1835, when he was appointed postal clerk, his run being between Toledo and Cincinnati. He held this position for about fifteen months, when he returned to agricultural pursuits, which he found a congenial occupation, and resided in a pleasant home on a portion of the Dewese estate, close to the suburbs of Weston.
