LYDIA2 CLEMENT, who d. Jan. 16, 1676. He was of Ip. as early as 1641; rep. 1665; d. Jan. 2, 1695-6. Children: Sarah, Lydia, Moses, Aaron, John, Thomas, Mehitable, Mehitable. She married about 1644 in Essex Co., Mass., Moses Pengry of Ipswich, born in England in 1611, died in Ipswich, 2 Jan. 1695-6, aged eighty-six years. Lydia Clements came to America with her father in 1642. Her husband, Moses Pengry, emigrated here and settled at Ipswich in 1641. In 1651, he owned salt-works at Ipswich; took an active part in the affairs of the town and served as selectman. In King Philip's War, he was a soldier in Major Appleton's company, and in 1655, a deputy from Ipswich to the General Court. He was a Deacon in the Ipswich Church.
