"Biagio PAVLICH" was
born 1824 to Biagio PAVLICEVIC and Johannah WOOD. Family lore although
never proven, is that the older Biagio travelled to Edinburgh from Europe
as interpreter to a Count, Biagio's country of birth has never
been established, however the Balkans is a strong possibility. Biagio died
1881.
Young Biagio married Eliza SOMERVILLE, 1850. In between sea journeys, he fathered six children, four of whom lived. Eliza died in 1872. Biagio remarried in 1874 to Harriet TEMPLE. One of Biagio's siblings, Henry Sim PAVLICH emigrated to Australia and married 1855 in Adelaide, Thurza HOWELL, b. Somerset, England. There is hundreds of descendants of this couple, living all over Australia. |
