1 Jan 1799 Guard Ship at Liverpool.
1 Jan 1801 the sole Russian vessel at Liverpool at this date, the Angalo, has been detained and her crew escorted to prison by the Royal Marines from Actaeon, this as a result of the change of policy by the Russians with regards to the British and the introduction of the Northern Pact, and the fact that they had detained a number of British vessels doing business in Russian ports. The Tsar died later in the year and this policy was revoked when his successor took over.
