May 1797 Remained off the Texel during the mutiny on the Nore command.

3 Oct 1797 Remained off the Dutch coast whilst the remainder of the North Sea fleet victualled etc. at Yarmouth.

11 Oct 1797 engaged the Dutch fleet in what was to be known as the Battle of Camperdown (Admiral Duncan).

21 Feb 1798 prize money resulting from the sale of Dutch ships captured on the 11 Oct 1797 due for payment.

6-7 May 1798, repulse of the French invasion of the Islands of Saint-Marcouf.

1 Jan 1799 The East Indies, Capt. W. Hotham.

25 Apr 1799 the Jupiter, Tremendous, and Adamant recaptured the Chance, laden with rice, whilst at anchor off the Isle of France, but afterwards lost near St. Mary's, Madagascar.

10 May 1799 the boats of the Jupiter, Tremendous, and Adamant, saved a part of the cargo from the American ship Pacific, run on shore by the French near the river Noir, Isle of France ; before vessel was burnt.

11 Dec 1799 destroyed the Preneuse, French 36, after having been run on shore near Port-Louis, Isle of France (Mauritius) by the Tremendous, 74, and Adamant, 50.

12 Sep 1800 boats of the Adamant and Lancaster entered the harbour of Port Louis, Mauritius, in the dark of the night, and despite the shore batteries and reinforcements, including 40 soldiers put on board they boarded a recently arrived merchant vessel and sailed her out of the harbour.

10 Nov 1800 following the return of the Jupiter to the Cape of Good Hope on completion of a 6 months cruise off Mauritius, but having since experienced an awful storm off Madagascar causing the ship to become leaky. As a result the Flag Officer transferred his flag to the Jupiter and sent the Lancaster, with the Adamant and Rattlesnake under the command of Captain Hotham to cruise off Mauritius. 3 Dec 1801 arrived in the Downs the Belliqueux and the Adamant, with a convoy of HEIC vessels arriving from China, the former from the Indies, the Adamant, from the Cape, from which they departed 19 Oct., where the Diomede, Lancaster, Tremendous, Jupiter, Imperieux and Penguin, brig, remained.

Circa 9 Jun 1804 Capt G Burlton, apptd to the Adamant.

23 Aug 1804 arrived Spithead from the Eastward.

27 Aug 1804 departed Spithead with a convoy for the Downs.

19 Oct 1804 arrived Spithead from Dungeness.

2 Nov 1804 departed Spithead, the Veteran, Capt Newman ; and the Adamant, Capt Burlton, for the Downs.

May 1805 Yarmouth Roads

8 May 1806 captured the Spanish privateer Nostra Senora de los Dolores, or La Reparadora, ship, 30 guns, 315 men, off the Cape of Good Hope.

17 Jun 1807 captured the French privateer Bueno Union on the Jamaica station.

19 Jul 1813 Flag-ship in Leith Roads.

28 Aug 1813 On Thursday at Leith about 60 old and infirm French prisoners, from Penicuik were put on board for Sheerness, to be sent to France.

29 Aug 1813 departed from Leith roads for Sheerness.
