Notes:

2 May - 1 Jun 1794 Departure of the Channel Fleet from St. Helen's, and the lead up to actions and manoeuvres with the French fleet. 29 May - 1 Jun., what was to be known as the Battle of the Glorious 1st June commences, resulting in the capture of six sail of the line and one sunk. Review of the part performed by each British ship engaged. 13 Jun, the fleet arrived back in home ports.

14 Feb 1795 the Channel fleet departed from Torbay for a brief cruise and to see various convoys safe out of the Channel.

12 Jun 1795 the Channel Fleet, under Lord Bridport, including the Aquilon, departed from Spithead for Quiberon bay. 22 Jun sighted the French fleet to west of Belle-Isle, and finding the French admiral had no wish for a fight, ordered the Fleet in chase and to engage as ships came up. During the chase the former British 74, Alexander was retaken, along with the French 74s Tigre and Formidable (subsequently renamed Belleisle). And so ended the Battle of the Isle de Groix.

20 Sep 1795 Lord Bridport remained with his fleet off the coast protecting the ill-conceived Quiberon Bay expeditions until 20 Sep, when he returned with 2 or 3 ships to Spithead, leaving Rear-admiral Harvey in command.

Between Aug and Oct 1797 captured a French privateer on the Jamaica station.

2 Jul 1798 departed Port Royal, Jamaica.

1 Jan 1799 Capt. T. Boys. At Jamaica.

12 Feb -30 Mar 1799 captured an armed French schooner, pierced for 16 guns, 8 mounted, coppered, with a cargo of coffee for Europe, and 5 merchant vessels on the Jamaica station.

22 Jul � 27 Oct 1799 captured a privateer of 2 guns ; and 2 merchant vessels in this period on the W. Indies station.

18 Jul 1800 Portsmouth, arrived the Brunswick, and Aquilon, with a convoy from the West Indies.

20 Mar 1801 arrived Spithead with a convoy from the West Indies ; all of whom continued their course past this port from the Downs.

2 Feb 1802 the Aquilon, 84 ; Culloden, 74 ; and Lapwing, 38, are in dock at Plymouth refitting. The Culloden is completely stripped of her planks, and her bends and knees are strong and perfect. The Aquilon is also stripped, and her lower timbers appear also to be sound.

May 1805 Portsmouth

21 Apr 1811 departed Portsmouth from St. Helen's for Leith.

19 Jun 1811 arrived Plymouth from Portsmouth.

18 Sep 1811 arrived Plymouth from off Brest.

28 Sep 1811 departed Plymouth on a cruise off Brest

2 Dec 1811 arrived Portsmouth from off Cherbourg.

13 Jan 1812 arrived Deal from Portsmouth

15 Jan 1812 departed Deal for off the Texel,

12 Mar 1812 arrived Yarmouth the American brig John, detained going into the Texel.

14 Apr 1812 arrived Yarmouth from the Texel

31 Jul 1812 departed Yarmouth for St. Petersburgh with diplomats.

Oct 1812 captured the French privateer Aimable D'Hervilly.

31 Oct 1812 arrived Yarmouth with crew of the Centinel gun brig, lost in the Baltic.

2 Nov 1812 departed Yarmouth, Captain Bowles, for Sheerness.

27 Dec 1812 Came down to Deal from the river.

11 Jan 1813 arrived Portsmouth with a convoy from the Downs. Appointed convoy for the Brazils and South America.

17 Jun 1814 Reported to have departed from Bahia.

Aug 18 1814 arrived Portsmouth in ten weeks from the Brazils, with a convoy from Pernambuco and Bahia.

31 Aug 1814 at Portsmouth to take command of the next convoy for Spain, Portugal and Mediterranean.

14 Sep 1814 Drops down to St Helen's with the Mediterranean convoy.

22 Sep 1814 Remains at St. Helen's.

28 Sep 1814 departed with the trade for Portugal, Spain and the South of France.

16 Apr 1816 arrived at Spithead from the Mediterranean.
