Circa 16 Jun 1804 the Mercator, Ardent, and Lord Nelson, have been taken up as hired ships.

This was published in the Hampshire Telegraph, as dated, however, unlike most other notices of this nature I can't find any mention of the Ardent as a hired ship elsewhere such as in Rif Winfield's BWAS....I guess I shall just have to leave this note here in case it comes in useful at a later date.
