14 Jun 1795 the fleet, whilst on a cruise, was joined by a squadron from Gibraltar and England off Minorca.

7 Jul 1795, a part of a small squadron under Commodore Nelson, on a cruise, chased by the Toulon fleet. The following day, approaching San Fiorenzo bay, after discovering the British Fleet, the French abandoned the chase.

8 Jul 1795, the fleet, at anchor at in San-Fiorenzo bay, once aware that the French fleet was close by, gave chase. It was sighted on the 13th and later the order was given for the general chase, but apart from the loss of a 74 by the French the result was inconclusive and resulted in not a little criticism, the consequence perhaps being Admiral Hotham's resignation on 1 Nov 1795.

6 Aug 1795, Admiral Hotham put to sea on a cruise, sighting the French fleet in Toulon road.

Circa 8 Aug 1795, Captain Nelson on a cruise along the coast of Italy with a small squadron, including the Ariadne. On the 26th, in the vicinity of Vado, the boats of the squadron cut out or destroyed a number of vessels, without the loss of a man..

1 Jan 1799 Capt. J. Bradby. Cruising in the North Seas.

May-Jun 1800 the Ariadne's large cutter, coming from Sheerness, upset in a squall, with a Lieutenant, Gunner, two Midshipmen, Surgeon's Mate, and Purser's Steward and 11 other persons. After twenty minutes in the water, a small boat from the Malvina merchant hrig was observed rowing to their assistance. Lt. Scott, observing the Gunner nearly exhausted, directed the boat round to his assistance and although unable to swim himself he supported the Purser's Steward and a Midshipman, who had quit their holds, and were actually sinking, till the boat took them in also ; then encouraging the men to be collected, they one by one made the boat, and afterwards himself.

Circa 1 Aug 1800 Captain Patrick Campbell, late of the sloop Dart, is appointed command of the Ariadne.

27 Jan 1801 arrived N. Yarmouth the Squirrel, Ariadne, Speedwell brig, Biter gun boat, and the Cobourgh cutter.

29 Jan 1801 departed Yarmouth on a cruise.

12 Mar 1801 following the departure of the North Sea fleet earlier this morning, under the command of Adm. Sir H. Parker and Lord Nelson, from Yarmouth, for Copenhagen, the Princess of Orange remains in the Roads at N. Yarmouth, under the command of Adm. Dickson, with the Monmouth, Agincourt, Leyden, and Madras, 64s ; and Assistance, 50 ; with the Ariadne, Solebay and Waakzamheid, frigates ; and the Liberty cutter, and Pouncer gun brig.

10 May 1801 departed the Princess of Orange, with a squadron from Adm. Dickson's North Sea Fleet including the Monmouth, Vanguard, Madras, Texel, Ariadne, Assistance, Agincourt, Phoenix, and Speculator luggers, Ranger, and Squirrel, and the Narcissus brig, to cruise off Goree.

8 Jun 1801 Adm Dickson's squadron departed N. Yarmouth for a cruise on the Coast of Holland with the Blenheim, flag ship ; Brunswick, Princess of Orange, Leyden, Texel, Assistance, Solebay frigate ; Ariadne sloop ; and Liberty cutter.

17 Aug 1801 remains in the Roads at N. Yarmouth.

21 Aug 1801 the Polyphemus, Adm Graves, departed N. Yarmouth, with the Standard, 64 ; and the Ariadne sloop, for a cruise off Goree.

14 Sep 1801 departed N. Yarmouth on a cruise.

18 Sep 1801 arrived in the Downs from the Northward.

23 Sep 1801 departed the Downs for N. Yarmouth.

30 Sep 1801 arrived N. Yarmouth from a cruise, the St Alban's, the sloop Ariadne, hired brig Vidette with 2 prizes, lugger Lady Ann, and hired armed cutter Griffin.

6 Oct 1801 departed N. Yarmouth Roads the Blenheim, Monarch, Veteran, St Albans, ships of the line ; Lynx and Ariadne, sloops ; and Trial cutter, for a cruise off Goree.

29 Oct 1801 arrived in N. Yarmouth Roads.

22 Nov 1801 remains in N. Yarmouth Roads with the Blenheim and fleet. Wind NNW.

Circa 19 Nov 1803 Capt C Elphinstone apptd to the Ariadne at Sheerness.

Circa 24 Dec 1803 last week a court martial was held on board the Ariadne, in Sheerness harbour, upon D Madden, a marine from the Hound, for drunkenness, disobedience, wounding the pilot, and attempting to strike a midshipman. The charges being in part approved he was sentenced to 250 lashes. J Clark, a private marine, for having prevaricated in his evidence was given 3 months in prison.
