15 Jul 1822 (Captain Moorsom), is shortly expected to depart Plymouth for the Cape of Good Hope.

25 Dec 1824 at Madagascar captured the slave schooner Walter Farquhar, and rescued the slaves. The vessel having been run ashore and scuttled the vessel could not be delivered as a prize.

3 Jan 1825 Captain C, R. Moorsom, now senior officer on the Cape of Good Hope station is expected from the Sychelles, and to transfer his flag to the Ariadne, now at Mauritius.

26 Mar 1825 at Mauritius, (Captain Chapman).

25 July 1825 remains at Mauritius.

25 Aug 1825 departed Mauritius for the Cape of Good Hope.

23 Sep 1825 arrived Cape of Good Hope.

21 Oct 1825 departed Cape of Good Hope for England.

5 Nov 1825 arrived St. Helena.

8 Nov 1825 departed St. Helena for England

7 Jan 1826 Sunday last arrived Spithead from the Cape of Good Hope.

16 Jan 1826 at Spithead.

8 Jan 1827 reported to be in the Mediterranean.

23 June 1827 Per ships arriving Spithead from the Mediterranean is reported to be at the Ionian Islands.

Dec 29 1828 Remains Malta.

18 Nov 1828 Captain Marryat, C.B., Mr. Thomas, master. and Mr. John O'Brien, purser, are appointed to the Ariadne far Channel service.

6 June 1829 departed Portsmouth this morning to explore the vicinity of the Western Islands for a new shoal.

18 July 1829 arrived Plymouth on Friday from a cruise off the Western Isles, having left St. Mary's on the 10th inst.

5 Dec 1829 departed Madeira for Plymouth.

21 Dec 1829 arrived Plymouth from the Western Islands, with loss of anchors.

30 Dec 1829 Lt Corbet (1828), is appointed to the Ariadne, vice Halket, superseded.

1 Feb 1830 Lieutenant D. de Saumarez, of the Alligator, joins the Ariadne, by exchange. Lieutenant J. P. Blackwood of the Ariadne, is appointed to the Alligator.

13 Feb 1830 In Hamoaze.

8 Mar 1830 is expected to depart Plymouth in a day or two for the coast of Africa.

Jul 1830 Particular Service

13 Jul 1830 passed Ascension with a convoy of Indiamen.

31 Aug 1830 arrived in the Downs with a convoy of East Indiamen, which she has accompanied from St. Helena, due to the mutinous nature of the crews of the Indiamen.

2 Feb 1831, went out into Plymouth Sound, and will sail immediately for Milford Haven, where she is to remain for the present, Capt. Phillips in command, but to be still under the orders of the Port Admiral, Sir Manly Dixon.

5 Feb 1831 departed Plymouth Sound for the Milford station, where she arrived the next day.

4 Mar 1831 arrived Portsmouth from Milford, Capt. Phillips, in command.

16 Apr 1831 the Ariadne, Dispatch, Nautilus and Savage departed Portsmouth, with sealed orders, which were to be opened off the Lizard.

15 Jun 1831 Off Portugal The schooner Hiram, Gibson, detained by the Ariadne for not having proper clearance.

26 Jul 1831 arrived Portsmouth from Lisbon.

3 Aug 1831 departed Portsmouth for Plymouth to refit.

29 Sep 1831 arrived at Madeira from St. Michael's.

1 Dec 1831 departed Jamaica for Barbadoes.

Feb 1832 a court martial was held on board the Magnificent, at Jamaica, to try Lt. Kynaston Corbet for refusing to receive a reprimand, and was duly acquitted. Lt. Corbet has since been apptd. to the Champion.

10 May 1832 was expected daily at Port Royal, Jamaica, from Belize and Nassau, having been transporting the 2nd West India Regiment from the former to the latter place.

22 May 1832 arrived at Nassau from Honduras.

12 Jun 1832 called into Bermuda on Friday, and departed the next day for Jamaica to refit, reporting that she had experienced a hurricane on the 8th inst., near Wallant Island, being thrown on her beam-ends, and righted with the loss of her mizen-mast after about 4 hours, with about 3 feet of water in her hold.

28 Jun 1832 arrived Jamaica from Bermuda.

12 Aug 1832 at Halifax it is reported that the Ariadne was en route for Antigua.

13 Oct 1832 departed Nassau for Bermuda.

12 Nov 1832 arrived Halifax from Bermuda.

21 Nov 1832 departed Halifax for Bermuda.

10 Dec 1832 at Bermuda.

17 August 1833 is reported to have gone to Bermuda.

25 Jul 1833 arrived Halifax from Jamaica.

24 May 1834 Marines paid off from the Ariadne.

17 Aug 1837 Hermes departed Malta for Alexandria with the mail, and with the Ariadne in company. The Ariadne is to be used as a coal depot at Alexandria.

24 Nov 1840 the Asia arrived at Malta from Alexandria with Mr. R. Anderson, R.N., master of the Ariadne, and crew, coal depot at Alexandria, the port of Alexandria being under blockade.

29 Sep 1841 a report from Malta, in the Hampshire Telegraph of 11 Oct reports that the coal depot vessel Ariadne, at Alexandria, had been sold to the Peninsular and Oriental steam packet company for about �1,000.
