1 Jan 1799 CO : Lt C. J D'Auvergne ; stationed : Jersey (N.C.).

30 Dec 1799 Plymouth, Lt. D'Auvergne being absent on private business, with the 1st Lieut. of the Bravo, Lt. Nicholas Wray in command, captured the French privateer schooner L'Avanture, 14 guns, and 42 men, after a chase of 5 hours, off the Seven Islands. She had been out 10 days from St. Maloes in the Channel, but had taken nothing. Experienced a gale in the night and the condition of the rigging of the prize meant that there was no prospect of reaching Jersey, so went to Plymouth.

1 Jan 1800 Plymouth, arrived the French privateer L'Aventure.

19 Feb 1800 chased and captured, off Cape Frehel, the French gun-vessel No. 57, 1 x iron 24-pounder, and small arms, commanded by Le Citoyen Rouilland, Fnseigne de Vaisseau, from the river Fegu�, bound to St. Maloes. Several of her crew and passengers escaped in a boat before she struck, and one drowned whilst attempting to swim ashore.
