27 Jul 1914 departed Port Louis, Mauritius for Zanzibar - see p. 637-> www.naval-review.org/issues/1915-4.pdf for details of the doings of the Cape of Good Hope Squadron from Aug 1914 - Jan 1915.

1 Aug 1914 coaled at Zanzibar. At Dar-es-Salaam destroying the wireless telegraphy station etc., and she and with the Pegasus searching for the Konigsberg.

26 Aug 1914 had arrived from the East Coast and left Simon's Bay for Table Bay.

27 Aug 1914 picked up convoy for St. Helena where relieved by the Leviathan.

3 Oct 1914 arrived at Luderitzbucht with a convoy of 8 vessels and departed immediately for St. Vincent with two troopships.

7 Dec 1914 proceeded from Simonstown with the Minotaur (now flying flag of C-in-C Cape Station), Albion, Weymouth and Hyacinth to Table Bay and from thence to Luderitz Bay - see p. 608 www.naval-review.org/issues/1915-4.pdf.

12 Dec 1914 left for Cape Town.

21 Dec 1914 left for Table Bay where another convoy containing Union troops was collected and taken to Walfisch Bay, arriving Christmas Day, the landing commencing forthwith.

Circa May 1915 sent up to the Cameroons to relieve the Challenger.
