5 Sep 1800 the French 64, Athenienne [Ath�nien], taken at the capitulation of Malta.

18 Feb 1801 joined Sir John Borlase Warren's squadron.

29 Jun 1801 cruising off Alexandria, per UK newspapers of this date, reporting news received from off Egypt.

25 Aug 1802 departed Gibraltar for England.

11 Sep 1802 this evening arrived Motherbank from the Mediterranean, and put under quarantine, HM ship Athenienne, 64, Captain Sir Tho. Livingstone, from Malta.

14 Sep 1802 arrived at Spithead from Malta, last at the Motherbank, off Ryde, IoW.

24 Sep 1802 came into Portsmouth harbour to be paid off.

Circa 10 Mar 1804 Capt Fayerman, apptd to the Athenian, at Portsmouth.

Circa 31 Mar 1804 the Athenian, at Portsmouth, is order to receive provisions for 8 months, and it is supposed that she is probably bound for the East Indies.

Circa 12 May 1804 has dropped down to St Helen's.

9 Jun 1804 departed for China, the Athenian, Capt Fayerman, with a convoy made up of the following vessels : Royal Charlotte ; Lord Eldon ; Cuffnells ; Alnwick Castle ; Experiment ; Tottenham ; Ceres ; True Briton ; Armiston, and Perseverance.

Circa 18 Jun 1804 the Active, bound to the South Seas, which also departed as a part of the Athenienne / Athenian's convoy, was run foul of by the Ceres, which stove in her quarter and stern, rose her deck, thrust both main and upper decks forward, and unshippped her rudder &c.

8 Jul 1804 is reported at Portsmouth to have arrived safely at Madeira with her convoy.
