Circa 1 Sep 1804 Lieut Swain apptd in command of the Attack gun brig, at Portsmouth, Hampshire Telegraph.

15 Sep 1804 departed Spithead for the Eastward the gun brigs Steady and Attack.

May 1805 Downs Station

28 Jan 1806 captured the French privateer Sorcier.

19 Apr 1806 the Colpoys, Attack and ship's boats capture two chasse-mar�es.

19 Jan 1808 fell in with the frigate Phoenix, from off Rochefort, and instructed to inform R.-adm Sir R J Strachan that the French squadron was now at sea.

5 Jan 1811 drove on shore at Yarmouth in a gale ; the crew was safely landed.

26 Dec 1811 arrived Deal from the Nore.

31 Dec 1811 arrived Deal from Portsmouth.

1 Mar 1812 arrived Portsmouth with a convoy from the Downs.

8 Apr 1812 went out to Spithead from Portsmouth harbour.

4 Jul 1812 off Calais, the gig, with six men, commanded by the second master, captured a French transport under the protection of privateer.

13 Jul 1812 departed Spithead with a convoy, for the Downs.

15 Jul 1812 arrived Deal with a convoy, from Portsmouth

20 Jul 1812 arrived Yarmouth from the Downs, and having procured pilots, departed for the Baltic.

16 Aug 1812 in the Cattegat, when attacked by a division of Danish gun-boats was eventually captured after the vessel became a wreck and was in a sinking state.
