Circa 8 Sep 1804 Capt Hurn apptd to the Beagle.

3 Nov 1804 arrived Spithead, the store ship Prevoyante, and the Beagle, Capt Burn, with a convoy from the Downs.

8 Nov 1804 departed Spithead the Lively, Capt Downman ; the Wasp, the Hon Capt Aylmer ; and Beagle, Capt Burn, to join Sir John Orde's squadron.

2 Oct 1808 captured the French privateer Hazard in the Channel.

24 Jan 1809 captured the French privateer Vengeur.

18 Feb 1809 captured the French privateer Fortune in the Channel.

10 Apr 1809 Beagle and Redpole arrived in Basque roads with 12 fire-ships from the Downs. 11 Apr the use of fire ships, explosion-vessels, and Congreve rockets against the French fleet at Basque roads and the results thereof. 12 Apr attempt made to destroy grounded French vessels, following the previous night's attack. 13 Apr further attempt made to destroy grounded French vessels.

30 Nov 1809, Thomas Daly, a watchman, has been detained at Bow Street, charged with robbing, with another, from Carolina Wilcox, wife of the boatswain's mate of HM Brig Beagle, of cash to the value of �206, the balance of pay recently paid to her husband along prize money due, and expensive gowns and other apparel, her husband having been sent back to sea.
