Mid to late Jun 1796 Grenada, W.I., the Mermaid, Captain Robert Waller Otway, Hebe, Pelican, Beaver, arrived with troops, to reduce the Island.

Apr 1797 abortive attack on Porto-Rico.

31 Mar 1799 Portsmouth, arrived with a large convoy from the Downs.

24 Oct 1799 Portsmouth A Court Martial was held this day on board the Gladiator, on G. Kennet, Corporal of Marines, of the Beaver, for desertion. He was found guilty, and sentenced to be mulcted of his pay, reduced to the situation of a private, and to receive one hundred and fifty lashes from ship to ship.

1 Jul 1800 a court martial was held on board the Gladiator, in Portsmouth harbour, on Mr. John Shea, Purser of the Beaver, for having disposed of provisions entrusted to him contrary to instructions and made a false entry in the ship's books and having, on a number of occasions, treated his captain with insolence, contempt and disrespect, and for being absent without leave. The charges were proved in part and Mr. Shea was reprimanded and admonished to be more circumspect in the future.

5 Aug 1800 a court martial was held on board the Gladiator, in Portsmouth harbour, on Mr. George Hudson, the Surgeon of the Beaver, for striking and using reproachful language to Lieutenenant Symons. Having been found guilty, as the offence fell within the 22d Article of War he was sentenced to Death, but was recommended from mercy.

15 Sep 1800 Mr. George Hudson has received a pardon from His Majesty.

17 Sep 1800 Portsmouth, departed on a cruise.

23 Sep 1800 a court martial was held on board the Gladiator, in Portsmouth harbour, on Lieutenant Pacy of the Beaver, for disobedience of orders and was found guilty and dismissed his ship and placed at the bottom of the Lieutenant's List.

26 Nov 1800 The Downs, arrived from Portsmouth and departed later for the Westward.

21 Jan 1801 sent into Portsmouth a Danish vessel detained under the recently introduced legislation regarding the Northern Powers of Russia, Sweden and Denmark recently becoming belligerent powers in the eyes of the British Government.

20 Feb 1801 arrived Spithead with the Active, Sophie, and Trent from a cruise.

28 Feb 1801 departed Spithead on a cruise.

13 Mar 1801 arrived Spithead from a cruise.

22 Mar 1801 Portsmouth, one of her boats upset off Fort Blockhouse, 4 men rescued, but unfortunately one drowned.

25 Mar 1801 the Scout being lost having struck on the Shingles, off the Isle of Wight, the Beaver saved the crew.

27 Mar 1801 arrived Spithead from a cruise.

28 Mar 1801 departed Spithead on a cruise.

30 Mar 1801 departed Spithead on a cruise.

1 May 1801 departed Spithead on a cruise.

27 May 1801 arrived Spithead from a cruise.

6 Jun 1801 departed Spithead for N. Yarmouth to join Adm Pole's squadron.

10 Jun 1801 Adm Lutwidge shifted his flag from the Overyusel to the Savage sloop of war. The Overyusel is to be sailed to Sheerness with the Beaver sloop.

5 Jul 1801 arrived Spithead from a cruise.

12 Jul 1801 came into Portsmouth harbour.

17 Aug 1801 at Spithead, appointed in command of the next Westward convoy, and would fly the appropriate signals.

12 Sep 1801 departed Spithead for Cork with transports, with a view, it is said, to embark convicts for Botany Bay.

8 Oct 1801 arrived Spithead from Cork.

12 Oct 1801 departed Spithead for the Downs.

17 Oct 1801 arrived Spithead, from the Downs.

19 Jul 1802 departed Plymouth Sound the Beaver, 18, Captain Jones, for Portsmouth.

12 Aug 1802 arrived Plymouth Sound from Cork, the Beaver, 16, Captain J. Jones, where she went with discharged seamen, and is returned here to wait for orders.

19 Aug 1802 arrived Spithead the Beaver sloop of war, Captain Jones, from Cork, last from Plymouth.

23 and 24 Aug 1802 a Court Martial was held on board the Donegal, on Captain C.B. Jones, of HM sloop Beaver, on the following charges exhibited against him by Lieutenant William Case, of the said sloop:-
1. For running the ship on shore through obstinacy; which was not proved, but found frivolous and vexatious.
2. For tyranny and oppression ; which was partly proved.
3. For having used language to the said Lieutenant, scandalous and unbecoming the character of an officer ; which was proved.
And he was accordingly adjudged to be dismissed his Majesty's service.

28 Aug 1802 departed Spithead to the Eastward to be paid off.

30 Jun 1803 arrived Sheerness from the Thames.

1 Aug 1803 arrived N Yarmouth with a Dutch Greenland ship, with several whales.

25 Nov 1803 came into Sheerness harbour.

Circa 7 Jan 1804 Capt W Losack, apptd to the Beaver, vice Pelly.

28 Mar - 3 Apr 1804 the capture of the Dutch brig-corvette Atalante. See also Marshall, biography for Captain Bluett.

Circa 26 May 1804 Lieut (now Capt) Bluett of the Scorpion, and Lieut White, of the Beaver, are presented by the Patriotic Fund, at Lloyds, with swords of �50, value each, for their distinguished conduct during the capture of the Atlante.

Circa 26 May 1804 Capt C B Jones, who was dismissed the service at Portsmouth, when commander of the Beaver, and Capt A Jennings, are restored to their rank.
